Referrals, not leads
We are not a lead generator. A homeowner reaches you because they read our cost and fencing pages, asked us for an introduction and ticked a box consenting to it. You get one introduction at a time, exclusive to you in that region, and you pay only if the job goes ahead.
How it works
- We agree a fee in writing: a percentage of the signed contract value, or a flat fee.
- A homeowner in your region completes our referral form and gives express, separate consent for their details to be shared with one partner builder.
- We email you both to introduce you, usually within 2 working days.
- You quote them directly. We take no part in the contract and hold no money.
- If they go ahead, we invoice the agreed fee after their deposit clears. If they do not, you owe nothing.
What you will not get from us
The same enquiry sold to your competitors, a monthly subscription, a per-lead charge, or a “featured placement” you can buy. We publish no directory and no rankings, so there is nothing to buy a position in.
What we check before signing
- Your company on the NZ Business Number register: legal name, number and status.
- The licensed building practitioner register, for anyone doing or supervising restricted building work.
- Public liability and contract works insurance, current.
- Any membership you state — SPASA NZ, Master Pool Builder — against the body that would list it.
- How you handle a customer's details, because we are passing them to you under the Privacy Act 2020.
Nothing about your business appears on this site until an agreement is signed and those checks are done, and we will not describe you as vetted, recommended or accredited.
What we would ask of you
- Contact the homeowner within a couple of working days, or tell us you cannot take the job.
- Quote the whole job — including the barrier, its consent and the inspection — rather than leaving them off.
- Use their details for their enquiry only. No adding them to a mailing list, no passing them on.
- Tell us when a job is signed, so the fee is invoiced correctly and once.
